Dr Coombes is a minerals industry thought leader and a globally recognised authority on geostatistics. She is the author of two seminal books on geostatistics and resource estimation: “The Art and Science of Resource Estimation – a practical guide for geologists and engineers” and “I’d Like to Be OK with MIK, UC?”. Her passion for governance frameworks, developing learning pathways and accelerating change is complemented by her demonstrated skills in building collaboration across industry, government and academia. Jacqui holds a Bachelor of Science degree (double major: Statistics and Mathematics), a Masters degree in Statistics, a Masters degree in Resources and Commercial Law and a PhD in statistical reasoning and competency development.
